We understand that your stuffed toy is more than just a toy, it's a cherished friend, and we treat it as such. Our goal is to provide a spa-like experience that leaves your plushie looking and feeling its best, so that it can continue to bring you comfort and joy for years to come.
Our spa is designed to provide the highest level of care for your stuffed friends. We use only the gentlest, safest cleaning techniques to ensure that your plushies are cleaned thoroughly and without causing any damage. Our team of experienced teddyologists are trained in the art of stuffed toy cleaning, and they take pride in their work.
ASSESSMENT
When you bring your stuffed toys to our spa, the first thing we do is assess their condition. We examine each stuffed toy carefully, estimating the age of the stuffed animal, what type of fur and stuffing your plushie has, and any other elements which help us choose the best cleaning method for your teddy bear.
DRYING
Once the toy is cleaned, we move on to the next stage of the spa experience – rejuvenation. Stuffed toys are delicate and cannot be exposed to high temperatures, so we use a gentle air-drying process. We pat dry your teddy bears with a towel, before laying them down as flat as possible to fully air-dry. Once fully dried we carefully hand fluff and reshape the plushie, restoring it to its original shape.
DIRT / DUST REMOVAL
We start by removing any loose dirt, dust, or debris from the surface of the stuffed friend. We use special brushes, cloths, and air blowers to get into all the nooks and crannies, making sure that every part of the stuffed toy is prepped for cleaning.
FUR BRUSH OUT
After the drying process, we take special care to brush and groom your plushie's fur, ensuring that every strand is looking and feeling soft and cuddly. Some huggers prefer the feel of their stuffed friends as they are, so please let us know if you wish to skip this step.
SURFACE / DEEP CLEAN
Some stuffed animals may require us to remove their stuffing before we can begin. We then move on to a either our surface or deep cleaning processes; using hypoallergenic and eco-friendly cleaning solutions that are safe for even the most sensitive of stuffed friends. Please Note: Older plushies and teddy bears made with with real fur or mohair can ONLY be surface cleaned.
PAINT / DYE TOUCH-UP
But we don't stop there – we also offer a range of optional services to enhance your stuffed toy's spa experience. Some stuffed animals feature rubber faces, or parts of their fur's color may have faded over time. Our teddyologists are skilled at touching-up and restoring these long lost details, ensuring they look as good as new. Please Note: We cannot repair features like rubber faces at this time.
The total cost of services will be based on Stuffed Friend's size, age, condition, extent of work needed, and other similar factors.
